Creating a welcoming environment for every guest.

Our Hospitality team is the face of The Met, ensuring that everyone who steps onto our campus feels the love of Christ immediately.

  • Food Service Ministry: Serving the body through nourishment. This team operates the kitchen and provides quality food service for WOW Bible study, annual days, receptions, and funerals.
  • Greeters Ministry: The first smile you see. Greeters ensure a warm welcome for members and first-time visitors at services and act as hosts for various events.
  • Parking Lot Ministry: Safety and order start here. This team manages parking, directs traffic, ensures safety, and even offers golf cart rides or umbrellas on rainy days.
  • Security Ministry: Protecting our flock. This ministry oversees the safety of attendees and property during services and events, managing emergency plans and monitoring the campus.
  • Usher Ministry: Guiding with grace. Ushers are responsible for seating, comfort, and direction during services, as well as distributing bulletins and programs.

Discipleship is the engine of spiritual growth at The Met. These ministries are dedicated to education, care, and fostering a deeper connection with God.

  • New Member Care Ministry: A smooth transition into the family. This team welcomes new members, handles orientation, and guides them through salvation, baptism, or rededication processes.
  • Seniors Ministry: Wisdom and fellowship. Focused on our seasoned members, this ministry provides activities centered on fellowship, volunteerism, and outreach.
  • Sunday School Ministry: Building a biblical foundation. An educational ministry based on sound principles to produce stronger followers of Christ. If you love to teach, this is your place to serve.
  • Vacation Bible School: Summer fun with a purpose. A week-long session for children to connect with God, requiring teachers and volunteers to make it a success.

In a digital world, MetTech ensures the Gospel reaches beyond our four walls. Join the “Eyes and Ears” of The Met.

  • Audio/Visual Ministry: Behind the scenes excellence. From sound boards and cameras to lighting and lyrics, this team powers our in-person and live-streamed services. Training is provided!
  • Communications Ministry: Telling the story. This team produces media to inspire, inform, and invite the community to participate in the life and mission of the Church.
  • Met Mart: Resources for the journey. This ministry handles the sales and distribution of quality merchandise from worship services and ministry events.

Worship is the heartbeat of our services. If you are creative or musical, there is a place for you to help lead the congregation into God’s presence.

  • Music Ministry: A family of worshippers. The Stellar Award-nominated Met Music Ministry welcomes all ages to join in song. Whether in the choir or special ensembles, your voice can reach hearts.
  • Performing Arts Ministry: Bringing the Word to life. Calling actors, praise dancers, mimes, and artists! This ministry creates dramatic presentations for worship, Black History Month, Easter, and Christmas.

Our Special Ministries cover a broad spectrum of care, support, and administrative functions that keep our church family healthy and functioning.

  • Deacon & Deaconess Ministries: Servant leadership. Deacons and Deaconesses aid the Pastor in spiritual oversight, caring for the sick, assisting with Baptism and the Lord’s Supper, and benevolence administration.
  • Doctors and Nurses Guild: Health and healing. Promoting well-being through education and assistance during services, including our bi-annual health fair.
  • Mission: Reaching out. Coordinates outreach programs like feeding the homeless and clothing drives, representing The Met in district mission activities.
  • Nursery Ministry: Care for the littlest ones. Provides loving childcare for infants and toddlers during services and events.
  • Prayer Ministry: The power of intercession. Responsible for the comprehensive prayer coverage of the church and individual requests.
  • Prison Ministry: Hope behind bars. Ministers to prisoners and their families through Bible study, mentoring, and correspondence.
  • Scholarship Ministry: Supporting education. Administers scholarships to encourage members pursuing post-high school education.
  • Transportation Ministry: A ride to worship. Provides transportation to services for those in need.
  • Baby Dedication, Bereavement, & Wedding Ministries: There for life’s milestones. From celebrating new life and holy matrimony to comforting families in times of loss, these ministries coordinate the details of these significant moments.
